Learning Manual Mode: Av Mode

The first step to starting to use your camera like a pro is to stop using the automatic mode. I recommend you learn Av mode (Nikon users, A mode) first.

Av = Aperture Priority

If you need a refresher on aperture, read the aperture post here. Aperture priority means you choose the aperture value you want and the camera will automatically adjust the shutter speed.
